Job-site ordering for construction and industrial B2B on Shopify
Exclusively available to Human After All clients · Public launch on the Shopify App Store Q3 2026
Let’s talkThe problem
Construction and industrial buyers don't order like other B2B customers. They don't just place an order for their company. They place an order for a specific job site. Every purchase needs to be tracked against a project—for cost control, for client billing, for compliance documentation, and for delivery logistics. When a general contractor orders rebar, lumber, or electrical supplies, the first question isn't "what do you need?"—it's "which job is this for?" No standard Shopify B2B app understands this. They're built around company accounts and customer-level pricing, which is necessary but not sufficient for the construction trades. The result: buyers either can't use your online portal for job-level purchasing, or your team has to manually sort and attribute orders to job sites after the fact. Both cost you time, accuracy, and adoption.
What SiteJob does
SiteJob adds a job-site layer to Shopify's B2B ordering experience. It turns your storefront from a generic wholesale portal into a project-aware purchasing tool that matches how construction and industrial buyers actually work.
Job site management
B2B customers can create and manage multiple active job sites within their account. Each site has its own name, address, project reference, and delivery details. When placing an order, the buyer selects which job site the materials are for—before adding products to the cart.
Order-to-job attribution
Every order is tagged with the job site it was placed against. No manual sorting. No post-order reconciliation. Your operations team sees exactly which project each order belongs to, from the moment it's placed.
Job-level order history
Buyers can view their purchasing history filtered by job site—not just by date or order number. When a project manager needs to know what's been ordered for a specific site this month, they can pull it up in seconds without calling your sales team.
Delivery by job site
Shipping addresses are tied to job sites, not just company accounts. When a buyer orders for Site A in Laval and Site B in Sherbrooke, the delivery details are pre-populated from the job site profile. No re-entering addresses. No shipping mistakes.
Budget and spend visibility
Track total spend by job site over time. Buyers and their account managers can see how much has been ordered against a specific project—useful for budget tracking, project costing, and billing reconciliation.
Who this is for
SiteJob is built for Shopify Plus merchants whose B2B customers buy for projects, not just for themselves.
Construction material distributors
Lumber, concrete, masonry, roofing, insulation—your customers are contractors managing multiple active job sites. Every delivery goes to a different location. Every purchase needs project-level attribution.
Electrical and plumbing distributors
Electricians and plumbers run multiple jobs simultaneously. They need to order materials per project and track what's been purchased against each one.
Industrial supply distributors
Safety equipment, tools, fasteners, welding supplies—when your customers are outfitting a job site, they need to assign purchases to the right project for cost tracking and billing.
Rental and equipment suppliers
If you supply equipment or materials to construction sites on a project basis, SiteJob ensures every order is tracked against the right job from the moment it's placed.
Why this matters
The construction industry orders billions of dollars in materials every year. A significant portion of that still happens by phone, email, or in-person at the counter—not because buyers don't want to order online, but because online portals don't support the way they work. Job-site attribution is not a nice-to-have in construction distribution. It's fundamental to how the business operates. Without it, your eCommerce portal is a consumer shopping experience with wholesale pricing bolted on. Buyers will use it for simple reorders, but anything project-specific goes back to the phone. SiteJob removes that barrier. It makes your Shopify store a tool that construction buyers actually want to use—because it works the way they work.
