COBRA ANCHORS
How a Canadian anchoring and fastening manufacturer replaced an outdated platform with a full product catalog site — technical specs, installation guides, product comparison tools, and a lead generation engine for distributor and retailer inquiries.

COBRA Anchors is a Canadian manufacturer of wall anchors, fastening systems, and hanging hardware — products like WallDriller®, FlipToggle®, DrillerToggle®, CobraTork™, and Parawedge™. They sell through distributors, retailers, and hardware chains across North America.
Their existing site was built on an aging platform that had become difficult to maintain and impossible to extend. Product information was scattered — some specs lived in PDFs, some were buried in pages that nobody could find, and there was no structured way for a contractor, distributor, or retailer to compare products, check technical specifications, or find the right anchor for their application.
For a manufacturer that doesn’t sell direct, the website’s job isn’t checkout — it’s the entire top of funnel. Contractors need to find the right product for the right substrate (drywall, concrete, masonry, hollow wall). Distributors need technical specs and catalog downloads to support their own sales teams. Retailers need product comparison tools to decide what to stock. If the site can’t answer those questions quickly, the phone doesn’t ring.
The existing platform wasn’t just outdated — it was leaving revenue on the table by making it hard for qualified buyers to find what they needed and take the next step.
A catalog that sells without a shopping cart
We rebuilt cobraanchors.com as a full product catalog and lead generation platform. Not an eCommerce store — COBRA sells through distribution. The site’s job is to make every product findable, every spec accessible, and every next step obvious.
The product catalog organizes COBRA’s full line by application — hollow wall, masonry, concrete screws, multi-purpose, picture hooks, plant hangers — with structured product data including technical specifications, load ratings, substrate compatibility, and installation requirements. Each product page is built as a decision-making tool: what it’s for, what it holds, how to install it.
The resources section houses four content types that B2B buyers actually need: technical product specifications, installation videos, installation guides, and brochures and catalogs. These aren’t afterthoughts buried in a footer — they’re first-class navigation items because for COBRA’s audience, a spec sheet or installation video is often the thing that closes the deal.
The product comparison tool lets contractors and specifiers evaluate multiple anchors side by side — load capacity, substrate type, installation method — so they can make a selection without calling in. This is a deliberate lead qualification strategy: by the time someone reaches out, they already know what they want.
Every page funnels toward distributor and retailer inquiry capture. The site doesn’t try to be something it isn’t. There’s no cart. There’s no checkout. There’s a full catalog that answers technical questions, builds confidence, and makes it easy for qualified buyers to raise their hand.
COBRA Anchors needed their full product line online with structured technical data, installation resources, and a clear path for distributor and retailer inquiries. That’s what we built.
"For a manufacturer that doesn’t sell direct, the website’s job isn’t checkout — it’s the entire top of funnel. If the site can’t answer technical questions quickly, the phone doesn’t ring."
