On March 24, 2026, Shopify launched **Agentic Storefronts** — millions of merchants can now sell directly inside ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot. Products show up when a buyer asks an AI assistant what to buy, and checkout completes through the merchant’s own store.

The B2B catch

Agentic Storefronts support D2C sales only. **B2B-only catalogs are excluded.** But **hybrid B2B/D2C stores** on Shopify Plus get automatic AI visibility through their consumer catalog — while B2B pricing stays private. This is exactly the architecture we build for our clients.
